LED Switch Top / Push Button Illuminators
Forge Europa LED technology is ideally-suited to switch top
and push button illumination. With low current consumption
- typically 35mA - LEDs emit very little heat, keeping temperatures
low within the switch housing. Their long life means negligible
maintenance and low ownership costs.

LEDs now come in the full visible spectrum of colours, so
switch top designers can dispense with coloured filters and
enjoy increased legend definition. They are much more shock-resistant
than incandescent lamps and have a better on/off response
in standard switching or flashing modes.
The benefits of using LEDs for switch top / push button
illumination:
|
- Low power consumption -
typical 35mA
- Extended life over incandescent
lamp - negligible maintenance costs
- Very low heat dissipation
- lower temperature within the switch housing
- True white illumination
- increased legend definition
- Wide range of LED colours
available - coloured filters not required
- Increased resistance to
failure due to shock over incandescent lamp
- High speed on/off response
in standard switching or flashing modes
