Demanding applications such as traffic signalling or outdoor displays require outstanding performance and long term reliability. Forge Europa have recently updated their extensive range to incorporate the latest developments in semiconductor materials. Typical intensities exceed 15 000 mcd and products are binned for colour to comply with national standards such as the traffic signal specification EN12368.

The extensive range comprises LEDs from 3mm to 10mm diameter in a range of vivid well defined colours from red through to deep blue and includes a cool dazzling white. Different lens profiles are offered in round, elliptical, square formats, with a wide variety of viewing angles which means there is an LED in the range to suit most existing and emerging applications. Long term reliability is verified by Forge Europa's in-house test laboratory. A custom built automated LED test and measurement facility which checks: intensity, colour, and forward voltage. Specifiers can be confident that Forge Europa's high performance LEDs give predictable light output with excellent MTBF values.
